Abby Berendt
Producer/ Writer/ Editor/ Music Supervisor

Abby Berendt is from Greeley, Colorado; home to
Centennial Village, cow poop, and cattle by the
thousands. As a child she was known for her love of
music. This passion was expressed by her participation
in the Greeley Children’s Chorale, an obsession with
her father’s record collection, and lead roles in the
high school musicals. She was also a member of the
nationally recognized Greeley West Dance Team,
participating in the UDA National Championships on
ESPN. In 2000 her team earned 6th place in the nation.

Right out of high school, Abby attended the University
of Colorado. There she developed a short-lived passion
for rock climbing, and was in the a cappella group
“All Rights Reserved”. After CU, she transferred to
Colorado State University and became involved in the
campus TV (CTV) and radio (KCSU) stations. At CTV,
she worked on the comedy show Full Tilt. At KCSU, she
was a Prime Time DJ and Music Director. She worked
with indie and major record labels, wrote CD and
concert reviews for Fort Collins publications, and
interviewed numerous artists including B.B. King, John
Mayer, Ben Kweller, and The Dandy Warhols. She also
had a letter published in Rolling Stone.

Abby graduated with a B.A. in Technical Journalism,
and received starting gigs at MTV2 and Sony Records in
NYC. After a quick stint working on the 2004 MTV VMAs,
Abby accepted a job on the 48th Floor of 1515
Broadway, in the promo department at TV Land and
Nick@Nite. There she was able to work with some of the
most creative and talented people in the TV industry.
She started by producing the network billboards, and
quickly moved her way up to write and produce her own
projects.

After a couple years at Viacom, Abby moved across the
country to San Francisco. From classic TV to Current
TV, Abby rediscovered her passion for pop-culture,
music, and non-fiction story telling. At Current TV
she headed up the Yahoo! Current Network promo
department. She wrote, produced and edited over 200
“promolets” that introduced the content viewed on the
Internet television channel. She also produced launch
campaigns for the Action, Driver, and Traveler Buzz
Shows. At the Current TV on-air promo department, she
wrote and produced various campaigns, worked in
conjunction with the LA studio to produce station
ID’s, and coordinated the VC2 promo acquisitions.

Known for her ability to fuse new musical knowledge
with quick and gripping edits, Abby’s work has been
nationally recognized. Combining her professional
experience with a raw passion for non-fiction story
telling, Abby brings a fresh and skilled perspective
to Jaded Multimedia.

Abby doesn’t dig on swine.
